Invisible Systems are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join the team in our Manchester offices

We provide smart sensors to several industries, delivering everything from building the sensor to supplying our customers with the data they need to make decisions.

Plans are in motion to transform the company into a high-growth tech firm, and with global IoT spend expected to reach $1.1trillion, it’s an exciting time to get involved.

To support our growth, we’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team. In a varied and hands-on role, the individual will be responsible for supporting the CFO and Financial Controller with start to finish accounts production and all transactional accounting duties.

This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and is a fantastic opportunity for career progression, as the Financial Controller looks to step down to a part-time role when appropriate.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices
• Processing Sales Orders and Maintaining and Reconciling Customer Contracts
• Verifying company expenses
• Accurately record and reconcile bank transactions, including customer receipts and supplier payments
• Credit control duties
• Accruals, prepayments, and journal posting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT Returns
• Supporting the FC and CFO with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assist with the production of relevant commercial analysis e.g., margins, pricing, and variances
• Other duties as required by the Financial Controller and CFO

Experience & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will be experienced and competent with Sage 200 and have operated within a similar position. You will be CIMA/ACCA part-qualified and possess strong IT skills with good knowledge of excel.
You will also have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, across departments and those external to the business.
